 Incubation

Wash your hands before handling the eggs and if needed, wash the eggs in a disinfectant solution
Re-check the temperature and humidity settings of the incubator Temp- 99.5F (37.5C) Humidity 47%
Mark one side of the eggs with a pencil or felt tip pen so that you can verify they have been turned. An 'x' on one side and an 'o' on the other is ideal
If your incubator does not have an automatic egg turner you will need to turn them manually three times per day

On the 18th day of incubation

Stop turning the eggs on the eighteenth day of incubation. If you have an automatic incubator, turn off the egg turning function
Place a layer of cloth or similar on the floor of the incubator to give the chicks a sure footing when they hatch

On the 21st day - Hatching

As soon as the eggs show signs of hatching, set up your brooder and bring it to the correct temperature
When the chicks have hatched, reduce the temperature to 95F (35C)
Allow the chicks to remain in the incubator until the hatch is complete and they are thoroughly dry
Chicks can remain , if necessary , in the incubator for up to 24 hrs. When they are ready, transfer them to the brooder
